The Floating Fortess

I was just wondering if this opening already had a name. And if not, what could you see the disadavantages/ advantages being? I've been using it a lot lately and sometimes it works; sometimes it doesn't. The most common attacks I face are knight pins on my weaker, undevoloped side. The advantages I've found are confusion from weaker opponents, and an ability to attack from a far, while snuggly protecting my king.

I usually follow up by opening files for my queen and bishop. While pulling my king's side horse out, as well as the bishop. I usually leave the "fortress" alone once I've constructed it, and focus on my weak side. Once that's more devoloped, I start moving the "fortress" as a unit -- hence "moving".

change black opening

black queen to F6

without E5 pawn

before 6. Bb2

this will change things a lot - and how will you adapt the opening?

the what variation?

and what if a sarifice is made to the F2 pwn before move 7 to pull your king past your defence? - theose things will happen now you have posted this.

The king is safest when none of the pawns in front of it have moved yet. Your king position looks very windy. Black can push some pawns in front of it, open some lines and attack your king.

If he doesn't want to, he could play ...d5-d4 and your bishop on b2 is looking a bit silly.

And what's up with 3.a3? That looks a bit pointless (and weakening).

And I don't get your remark "Obviously, I ignore it." Why ignore your opponent's plans?! :-)
