Hippopotamus opening anyone?

Even Hikaru has to lose games. Don't mean he is destroyed. Or the bong is much good.

Of course! The bongcloud is brilliant, a forced win!

True, but 99.99% of the time, black will blunder with 2...Nf6??

The bongcloud in your pfp is inaccurate, only the fox version gives black the most trouble

what????? @SNUDOO why not white just keep the piece and don't take bishop with the queen? and can someone tell me what the forced win is?

You need to improve your positional understanding and solve more tactics.

obviously, bongcloud is a great opening. But not as good as the warehouse, which creates no weaknesses.

I time travelled.

For the love of god Nakamura is not a good player.

I mean he's "okay", in terms of the top elite he isn't great. I don't why people here tend to go around talking about Nakamura as like some sort of chess superstar. He's 18th in the live world ratings right now, barely a supergm, and at 32 he's not going to improve a lot.

Sure he's probably the best player in the US, but in terms of international competition he tends to come around last in the exclusive elite competitions, if he gets invited at all.

If it's a national thing well first of all, this is a worldwide site. It's not about just you Americans. Secondly he's not even really American - he wasn't born in America. He was born in Japan to a Japanese dad and American mum and lived there for two years.

He beat Dubov

He’s stepped back doing trading and looking to maybe even gamble professionally. Many professional gamblers play chess around 2000+ elo
