!the ponziani

Interesting. Tell me about your mother.
Alternatively, why do you like the Ponziani? Because it's dead unfashionable and generally considered not worth the bother? Because you hope to be better-prepared than opponents who haven't come across this oddity? Because you have developed a line of your own that's proving a killer against all and sundry? You need to put a little on the table if you want people to engage with you.

The Ponziani has sharp tactical lines and quiet positional lines so it's difficult to infer much about your playing style from this choice. You like offbeat openings, perhaps, but also don't want to break with tradition ?

Ponziani can be pretty good. Chigorin has a lot of games with it in the database. You should also try the Scotch opening - it can be very similar in style, but doesn't have the blocking characteristic of c3.
ouch...
well - i thought its obvious sorry - i like the ponziani because if the opponent make the natural moves he will get into troubles + the a lot of tactics possibilities, i loke to play active
so - now someone can answer my question without talking about my mother?
thanks! :)

I'm not familiar with the Ponziani, but isn't 4. ... Nf6 simple, natural and equalising?
I guess a similar line would be the Italian Opening, Moeller Attack - another c3 line that gets seriously tactical. It got lots of analysis a hundred years ago but, being less fashionable now, might catch many opponents under-prepared.
Hello!
I love to play the ponziani - what is that saying about my style of playing chess?
and another question - can u plz advise me on more openings that are in the same style?? against 1.d4 for example... or any...
