the chemical symbol for Sodium is NA. So, yes naming 1 Na3 the Sodium Attack makes sense. When I was growing up, Robert Durkin was an Expert player who used 1 Na3 successfully. He named the opening after himself calling it the Durkin Attack !
He signed his name Robert 1 N-QR3 Durkin -- as descriptive chess notation was used years ago.........eventually the current day algebraic notation became the standard for keeping chess notation.
(Take this as a joke, because it is one. The Amar opening is a great name.)
They named 1.Na3 the Sodium Attack after all, it makes sense.
