If anyone likes to play the Italian Game Knight Attack line, White or Black, you have to read this article!

The Traxler Counterattack is a very strong countertrap in the Italian Game. There is a lot of attacking, and if you're Black, you should play it, because usually White ends up checkmated. If you're White, you should avoid it ahead of time because it is very hard to avoid if your king is being chased all over the board.

The first few moves:

Many people play 4... d5, but there is a better move:

Many people don't know the trap and usually fall for it because it is usually played in grandmaster level:

This is my personal favorite opening. This is a great way to win the game if you're a person who likes attacking.

Stay tuned! I wil be posting many more traps and combinations soon!

Talk about a bunch of total hogwash!

A 1400 player trying to re-invent the wheel by trying to advertise how great something is based on a bone-head move by White that anybody who isn't a complete chess clown would know never to play!

4...d5 is Black's best move, and after 5.exd5 Na5!, the game is completely equal!

4...Bc5 is DUBIOUS AT BEST and anybody with half a brain (guess maybe it takes a 1600 player to realize this as clearly this 1428 player doesn't know) would know that White already has the advantage after 5.Bxf7+ Ke7 6.Bd5! or 5...Kf8 6.Bb3!, along with taking with the Knight and playing 6.Kf1.  Basically anything but the line the OP gives wins for White!
