Traxler, the deadliest opening in chess with all traps :)

Here is an opening I always use as a secret weapon when i play on tourtaments, and in 99% i won, it is really tricky and really devastating, so enjoy

Here are many variants, ask and I`ll show you more

Amm, but how does black replay to the Bxf7 variatons?

Wou_Rem

The most important lines (for serious games) are with Bxf7.
White would never play Nxf7 if he has time to think about his move unless he is terribly confused or really lacks good judgement.

How about some analysis with Bxf7? In quick chess I find this to be the most challenging line and would welcome some pointers.

+1 because i was thinking of maybe studing the traxler a bit :D

A bit funny game was played bettwen me and my school mate during the lucnh brake :D

We playded in our heads , just calling the moves, and this is the game that happend

First of all, on move 9. white could take the free bishop. Second of all, according to engines, this defense is "HORRIFIC" it gives white a huge +3 advantage. thats the equivalent to being a whole piece up. If they take the bishop, it is equal, but otherwise its bad. I don't think this is playable, and every time someone tries this on me, I completely destroy my opponent.

When playing white against the Wilkes-Barre aka Traxler, I like 5 Bxf7+ and 6 Bd5. It is still tricky and far from won, and there are grandmaster loses doing just that, but I find it generally gives me the better game.  Mastermind's point is often valid.  If white is expecting an easy fried liver, and is unprepared for the traxler, black can have an easy (and frighteningly quick) game.

You should join the group Traxler Analysis.  You will find just about everything you need to know on the Traxler.

I have found some new lines in the 5.Bxf7+ Ke7 6.Bd5 variation that show that 6.Bd5 can be equalized as black!  I have to work out two more lines, but it certainly looks a whole lot better than previously thought.

Now if I can figure out 5.Bxf7+ Ke7 6.Bb3, black will be back in business.  At least black is not refuted as in the main lines.

Conquistador

Yeah, the main lines that people bring up are refuted for black.  Even with best play it gets pretty nasty at times.  In my opinion 6...Rf8 is a major error.

Escapest_Pawn

Pawnpusher, White may well be able to get away with 9Kxf2, although I would find a few responses from black 9...Qc5 or possibly 9...Bg4 first and 10...Qc5 to be at least scary. Not to mention the obvious knight checks. Please share analysis.  Can black bag the bishop and then negate the coming attacks?

Mastermind, I just checked your page.  Are you really rated Fide 2240?  What are you listening to morons like me for?  Although I suppose your listening is a presumption on my part.

Please post more if convenient.  Some of us will respect your input even without being awed and humbled by your rating.

9.Kxf2?? is completely lost here.  Better is to push black to the limit with 9.d6!  although black can equalize there as well.  9.h3 is also good.

Why Mastermind isn't 2240 FIDE:

1.  No title verification, when 2240 translates to CM.

2.  "Here is an opening I always use as a secret weapon when i play on tourtaments, and in 99% i won, it is really tricky and really devastating, so enjoy"

^enough said.

3. shes only 16 years old, and alexandra botez won the high school championship or something and got that 106K$ scholarship to dallas university. so, yo cant be 3 yrs younge than alexandrqa and be rated 300 FIDE points higher.
