Traxler Variation?

Hey all, I decided to try the traxler gambit in a tournament and I came off out of the opening a bishop for a rook, and I want to know I could have done to prevent this happening

Wou_Rem

You made the wrong move at move 7. 7...Qf6 is lost, Qh4! is winning.

Backing up half a move, 7.Kf1 is a losing blunder! 7.Kg1 looks a lot better

Kxf2 is actually already pretty bad.
But yeah if you want to take the bishop you have to oplay Kg1.

K ty for all help :) I'm gonna look into the lines of the traxler gambit though cause I think they r really interesting

More trouble with the traxler variation

Wou_Rem

13...Qf6 looks dubious. Personally I would have castelled queenside in that position and black should be better there.

12...Nxd5. e4 is better, the queen can't take the h7 pawn immediatly giving you time time to play 13...Nxc2.

Is there anywhere I could find all the lines of the traxler gambit ?

About the super sacrifice :

The position is unclear, I would prefer white.

This position is absolutely drawn as long as white stays on the rim of the board and white's queen CAN NOT INTERFERE. That is why I consider that capturing the bishop is a mistake, because the queen moves near its king, and white has good chances to win. The bishop doesn't stop the perpetual, so you needn't take it.
It is much more satisfying to play aggressive for a win, but it is often not possible with extremely aggressive openings like this.
Tell me what you think. I am new here ^^

I play the Traxler as Black and have only 2 games where my opponent played 7.Kf1.  I won both.

Bh4 then ne2 you had checkmate why did u resign?

@adriaj : why playing for a perpetual check with Dg3-h3 instead of bringing another piece, with lets say, 14...0-0-0, to follow with Rf8 which wins.
