At one time I liked the reverse Sicilian, especially the reverse Grand Prix Attack. Then I considered the Czech Pirc. But now I prefer the Jaenisch/Halibut Gambit, where black plays 1....b5. Chess Giant did a good video on this. It takes a few ideas from the Benko Gambit, and could very well fluster white.
I usually like to do something like this in response to the English but I still don't have much success so does anyone have any other openings that may be good counters to the English?
