I've played this position a few times.
The English Opening is not about knowing traps. The English is all about understanding pawn structures, positional maneuvering, transpositions to other openings, especially the Reti and Queen Pawn Openings.
Of course an opening is not about traps. But it can be interesting to know them.
Here's another one (from Petrosian): 1.c4 e5 2.Nc3 Nf6 3.Nf3 Nc6 4.g3 Bb4 5.Nd5 Nxd5 6.cxd5 e4?? 7.dxc6 exf3 8.Qb3!! And white wins a piece!
