kings gambit
What are the best chess openings in your opinion?

The one you understand better than your opponent*
*provided the objective quality isn't too bad
I personally have good things to say about the Sicilian. As long as you can brawl effectively in the open, most of the antis just aren't that good.

Honestly the mario odyssey variation is better
or the twin tower opening but I guess that can be countered by the kabooming planes variation.

1.e4 is a good opening. This opens up the scope of the bishop and it opens up the queen. However, if you don't use either the next move, this move becomes useless.
Personally, my favorite is Queen's Pawn Opening, Levitsky Attack. This move is good because the opponent could accidentally move the pawn in front of the king, and then the bishop and capture the queen.

for ME, the ones that are most aggressive with open positions and mobility... 1.e4 gambits in 0particular. I really want to learn a rousseay, luccini, calabrese jaenish/schliemann repertoire asw black and start getting into games more my style than more passive scandinavian main lines

For white:
1. Ruy Lopez
2. QGD
3. Catalan
4. London System
5. King's Gambit
For black:
1. Sicilian Najdorf with d6 (possibly transposing to Scheveningen/Fischer Attack)
2. Caro-Kann, Carlsbad line
3. Pterodactyl Defense
4. English, Duchamp Variation
5. Owen's Defense
nf3 first move. then c4 against c5, d5, nf6, and anything else other then d6, e5, nc6 or f6. if any of these 4 happen, play d4.
I just want to see what people say is the best opening, lets see how this goes.
