Greetings, First off,im gonna admit i dont have a clue about openings.. i learned one, and played that for a year straight.  i Recently was going thru the Game explorer or book openings, and i found one i liked.  Before i get to the opening i like.. i would first like to bring to attention.. i only know whites moves.. and not blacks... (i dont understand why you need to know blacks moves to know a whites opening)  Otherwise, id be able to look up these moves no problem

and now as i typed it, im not shore of the exact order of the moves but its sumthing along these lines.. ima hopin sumbody will be able to help me.

1.D4 2. C4 3. Nc3 4. E3 5. Nf3 6. Be2 7. o-o

again, im hoping to find out, what this opening is and or simialr to, and please pardon my ignorance

Why are the opponents moves important when looking at openings?

There's rarely "White" or "Black" openings.  The opening for any game is usually determined by the interplay between White's and Black's moves.  Using your moves as an example:

As you can see, there are many possibilities based on what moves Black does, and I haven't even touched the surface of the possible openings, here.
