I just want to know which is your favourite opening move when you play white and why...

my favourite is Nf3 as it can lead to many interesting and strong openings.

i like d4 because of the queens "gambit" wich allows huge centre advanteges and developement.if they try to protect c4 then it becomes a real gambit, but it is worth it because of all the play and advanteges you get.

e4, but sometimes I play Nf3.

I'm with the creator of the post - 1. Nf3 is my choice.  It can transpose to soooo many other openings, and there are a ton of variations which is also fun.

I also play the occasional Bird's opening (1. f4) and am a solid advocate of 1. d4.  I used to be stuck in the 1850-1900 rut - like, for years.  Then I began playing the hypermoderns and jumped substantially to 2081 (online rating).  The opening works well with my style, and the lines are easy to understand and remember.

I used to do the Fried Liver attack, then switched to the Bird. Now I'm stuck on 1. e4 and every now and then, 1. c4.

I use Nf3 occasionally when I feel like changing it up, but lately I've become less enamored of it.  It's very transpositional, yes... but usually to a fairly sluggish variation of whatever you end up in.  It won't get you into trouble, but when I'm White, I like to get more out of the opening, and put on more pressure.

Most of the time, I'm an e4 player, though I play my fair share of d4 games.
