I like b3
Which opening do you like better out of 1. b3 or g3 ??

1.g3 may very well be objectively better by a feather margin, but my issue with 1.g3 is that if black wants to play a boring game, there really isnt much you can do. With 1.b3 you have slightly more hope in getting something original (although 1.b4 is better than both in that regard)

definitely, g3 for me leads to boring games, but It also makes it a little bit easier. but hey, I like danger, so I usually play b4 instead, if I play b3, I usually transition into a Bird.

they are ways to make 1.g3 interesting. The great Bent Larsen had like a 70% win rate with benko's opening and he almost always went for spicy ways to play it like 1.g3 e5 2.nf3!?. You can play for stuff like 1.g3 d5 2.bg2 e5 3.c4 which is like an improved reti, or you can play it like a reversed pirc where the extra move lets you be more creative.
the problem is though, if black plays it super safe, like a french formation ,or d5-c6 stuff, white may as well transpose to a reti or catalan or KIA. with 1.b3, you can always at least throw a rogue f4 to the mix
with 1.b4, they are only a few lines that really dry up the position. the early rook swap line is pretty drawish, as is a qid formation agaisnt it but almost every other line has some interesting asymmetry to offer

i think g3 is more realistically a better choice for flexibility and attacking but B3 is a solid game which most of the time leads to trading and positional grinding so i mean i prefer b3 but also g3

Both are decent, but I prefer 1.g3 in long time controls.
I usually play 1.b3 in bullet and go for a hippo-like structure, but with white. It's pretty easy to play this quickly.
It's probably a narrow band of player rating that can ever play these moves in a way that makes sense because you would have to be high enough to have a proper understanding of their potential merits as opposed to main openings, but then your rating can't be too high or they'll fall into "just bad" again.
I honestly dont know which one I like better.
with b3, I like to use it (if I dont play 1.b4) to create a long attack on black's kingside.
With 1.g3, I usually do this to get a nice balanced endgame. with lots of trades involved in the center.
How do you guys feel about these 2 ??
