Which Opening Gives You Grief?

i hate the english don't know a single move

playing against the caro-kann is okay forgot the line but have beaten some players with a higher rating

As white, the Sicilian doesn't bother me. I have taken up the Alapin line, and love it. The French doesn't bother me either. And the Scandinavian is a joke. I don't particularly like seeing either the Phillidor or the Petroff though.

As Black, I hate 1. d4. I will either play 1. e6 or 1. c6, depending on mood, and hope my opponent will play 2. e4, and transpose us back to a French or Caro-Kann. Inevitably though, they play 2. c4, forcing me to play either a QGD or a Slav, neither one of which I am very comfortable with yet.

I never played d4 when I was in school but now e4 is much less common.
