If yk what alekhine defense is and played chess for a while  , You might've encountered it when playing as white , Maybe played with it. But why i say alekhine is bad for black is because It makes black fall behind if yk what you are doing. Lemme show you sth

Look at it, It is made by me but yk how bad black is ,

This is the mokele mbebe but see how bad black is rn,

btw tell me what do u guyz think about the alekhine , CHANGE MY MIND THAT THIS DEFENSE IS GOOD

IMHO Chess Below 2500 elo, one can NOT denounce any legit defense.

The Alekhine is one of the few Hypermodern defense against 1.e4 It's pretty legit... Your missing a lot... here are pretty much the main lines...

I play the Center Counter Defense .. and get the same critics saying "no one plays that way..." the Center Counter Defense is suspect" etc..

Your first game has check, right?

Yeah, I play a simple line against 1…Nf6.

I never had any problems with the line I play.

I move my e4 pawn to chase Knight, but I don’t like throwing my other pawns up to continue attacking the Knight.

The line I play is pretty quiet.

A very simple approach.

Move 3 was a mistake

I love when players are "refuting" an opening and not knowing any theory. After Bc4 Black can equalise if he knows what he is doing. If white knows what he is doing it may get tricky for black in this sideline, but black should be at least equal.

Yeah no I play the Alekhines and after Bc4 I do what I would do after c4 normally which attacks the bishop so it doesn't end up in that terrible position you shown.

This line is tricky though, and I see it at all ratings, but I only get higher rated bots to play it against me for some reason. It's actually even and I don't know how to describe it as forcing but not really in a way that involves traditional developing until after this point I think. I'm actually sorta unclear on how to best play it because it becomes especially cou ter intuitive.

Really I feel like these lines here are the better ways to play that tricky line but again it's weird because the position isn't something you see every game. I think blacks goal is to attack the extended pawns and maybe white isn't terrible if they give up a pawn because they're gonna be a bigger pain to defend in the long run.

I have mixed feelings about the Alekhine Defense.

It is an opening in which Black must be well-prepared theoretically because otherwise, they can end up in a very bad position.

On the other hand, it is an interesting opening that gives many White players headaches.

In fact, many opt for 2 Nc3, which already grants equality to Black, although it is an independent and very playable line for White.

When playing White, I go for the Four Pawns Attack because it is the most fun option, and no matter how much I study it, I always encounter practical problems.

Black has good resources and counterplay, and White cannot afford to be careless, even though the engine evaluates it as a + advantage for White.

The Alekhine Defense has been recommended by masters for fast chess as a very profitable and provocative line.

However, I personally prefer to play the Alekhine with black at classical time controls because it gives more time to recall lines and make the most precise move on the board, which is crucial in some variations of the Alekhine.
