would you rather play bullet or blitz or rapid or classic?

Classic (over the board, not here)

Rapid with increment. I dont care for the other two. Bullet is just to fast for me to think clearly and ruins my slower game. I should stop playing. Cant believe the loss of elo as quality in bullet is no different 300 points higher than at my plumeting level. Sometimes they play even better in bullet than in rapid which is weird. Like bust out 15 moves of theory on you and only blunder when flagging. Think lots of 1000-1400 rapid players at 600 ish in bullet.

Over the board: 90|30 classical.
Online: 15|10 rapid.

Against humans it's rather blitz and against bots it's rather rapid.

Classic only makes sense if we are in a chess club and we compete.

This may be the worst thing about chess.com.

I like rapid, classical, and daily, but I greatly dislike blitz and bullet. I like being able to actually think.

I like bullet because I want action in my games. I have no wish to wait 20 mins for my opponent to make a move.

5/5 and 15/10 on chess.com and 90/30 in real life.

I notice my rating , quality of play and accuracy goes up with longer time controls.

rapid all the way though im probably better at classic, but rapid has both from classical and blitz. probably the most exciting time format.

Rapid (15 or 10|5) is best for me. That gives me time to think and allows me to play a few games in an evening at the pub or online.

Blitz. I have enough time to think and it is not that time consuming since i usually play without increment. I like daily games too and use it as an alternative for rapid since I do not have time for rapid

Blitz online, rapid over the board, with the main reason for the difference being that time scrambles shouldn't involve the sort of lag and dexterity issues that you get on a real board.

Either way it has to have increment, increment trumps everything. I think playing without increment is dumb.
