I love the English. It is a fun, subtle opening, that has many opportunities to transpose. I enjoy playing it, but know I am just scratching the surface of its potential. I ordered the Nigel Davies Fritz Trainer DVD on it, and can't wait till it gets here!
As black, I play the hyperaccelerated Dragon against e4, as it is basically just the English reversed, and down a tempo. I figure the themes and pawn breaks should be similar.
Against d4, I play the Dutch Stonewall, which I really like.
Which chess opening do you use in your games?
Just curious, 'cause I'm looking for different openings to use in my games (right now, I'm trying the English Opening)
