The number changes monthly as members join or let there TD certification lapse (that happens mostly to "Club TD") Unlike the membership total, on any given day it'll be hard to get a concrete number. One can view the number of active tournament directors within the USCF via state at the TD Support Area but you need to have access. (Then you'd be able to add all states and get a number, again it'd change rapidly.)
