When we are in a tournament, oponnent´s chess information it is important to know to prepare the next chess games. Information as opennings that they played, how strong is in endgames, time consuming average per chess games, etc.
Chess-db was a huge database witch allowed a lot of chess information about our rivals, other databases exists, but they are not for free and has less chess games.
