So, as it turns out, FIDE have introduced "arena titles" of AGM, AIM, AFM, ACM- the equivalent of real life titles, but for games played in the FIDE Online Arena.

Does anyone here have such a title? Is the Arena any good?

And also, does chess.com recognize Arena titles in the same way it recognizes standard titles? (Diamond membership, red letters by name)

Never mind! Just realized the Arena titles aren't equivalent to real-life ones: they're given on much lower ratings in the 1000-2000 range, but given misleading titles to make them sound better than they are!

They seem like little more than a money-making activity for FIDE, and definitely aren't prestigious at all. Clearly chess.com wouldn't accept these "arena titles"!

It's a shame FIDE has stooped to this level, devaluing the title system for cash. It's wise to ingore any titles given by FIDE for online chess.

I plsy on FIDE Arena for a year now and its clear the playign platfom for blitz/bullet chess is far superior tan the chess.com one - its only 20 euros a year too!

The titles are petty cool (I'm an AIM now - what are you?) and its clear (better than playing here or chesscube fo peanuts) ts not as easy as one might think obtainign the higher titles - in fact I challenge you to get one!

Arena titles are legit titles in the information age that we live there are many online player that are infact better then otb player, I am a AFM and I beat a GM named Alex Finkle in a match Fide online Arena is a place for strong players so there titles are legit.

I put ZERO credence into online ratings, unless its an already established titled player.
