100 games? Nakamura is in his early thirties, they will most likely never play 100 official blitz games if they've played 21 by now.
Hikaru Nakamura is better than Magnus Carlsen?

Attitude: Hikaru wins. Chess: Magnus.
I think the early fame and pressure has made Magnus kind of an out of touch player when it comes to handling his emotions and being a good sport. He has graceful moments sure, but overall you can tell he is kind of a chess snob. The thing I can think of off the top of my head is Hikaru took time to coach regular streamers like xqcow1, and has really added to the influx of people interested in chess in 2020. Where as Magnus made some pretty out of touch comments regarding Hikaru's coaching of regular streamers... One player is actively seeking to get more people into chess, where as another is actively gatekeeping chess. That to me instantly makes @hikaru way more likable.

I'm not sure what it is about Carlsen, but he often makes Hikaru play in a way that isn't like Hikaru at all.
Consider their final game in the World Blitz Championship. Look at how Hikaru misplaces his queen and knight (on the far corner of the board, completely out of play), while Magnus calmly develops his pieces to dominate the center of the board, then begins a kingside attack while Hikaru shuffles his queen back and forth on the opposite edge of the board.
It all started when Carlsen offered a queen trade on move 17, to push the game toward a rather drawish endgame. Instead, Hikaru avoided the exchange and tucked his queen away, almost as if he were hiding from Magnus. It went downhill from there.
It's not the kind of play that Hikaru is known for. He's usually aggressive, combinative, sharp. In that game, he looked like . . . well, he looked like how other players look when they play against him.
I think psychology is at work here, and Hikaru fears Carlsen's endgame technique. So he tries to avoid simplifications, which (as the game above shows), often leads to him going into worse positions, just to avoid Carlsen's endgame play.
That's my theory, anyway.

and the fact he coaches and streams really while magnus is a shut un

Hikaru's Blitz rating is 3021, while Magnus's Blitz rating is only 2992. Also, Hikaru has played thousands and thousands of games in both Blitz and Bullet, which proves his rating is accurate, while Magnus has only played like 70 blitz games and 22 bullet games.
Smh, how do you have the guts to say Magnus' Blitz rating is 'only 2992' when yours isn't even 2000.

Hikaru is probably better than Magnus on chess.com or just in general in blitz online. Hikaru trains a lot in blitz on cheese.com and that's the reason why he has 3021, Magnus usually trains to play games in tournaments etc, so he is better in long games in serious tournaments, I Dom't think you can compare this two players, but officially Magnus Carlsen is stronger and has a better ranking than Hikaru in real life, playing on chess.com and in real life are completely different thing

Magnus is better OTB, but Hikaru is a god at online chess. The level at which he plays, consistently for the number of games that he does it is unmatched.

lol i dont know a website called cheese.com
Sure, you must be right. He is so creative that he found 21 different aggressive ways not to win a blitz game against boring Carlsen.
