Never been that low. My first chess rating was about 120 Bcf...which is about 1400. That was in my early teens.....but it's all relative....I've been around 2250....but never really studied the game....I had a proper job to do.
How long did it take you to become a 1200?

I play exactly 1 year Chess and have registered here in August. After about 2 months ago I was in 1200. Of course, it varies. I did everything himself appropriated me play through daily, reading books and computer analysis. good luck
About 3 months

I never reached 1200. Started with 800. Lost a lot of matches because of being out of time. Now back to 700 from 400 where i restarted. Gues it takes a year to reach 1200 for me.
