Is Pokimane a WGM?

How come she is listed as WGM with the real tag; did I miss something, I thought she was doing pogchamps coached by hikaru. She has the real WGM tag that links to titled players. Her blitz rating is like 8% something.

How did she beat botez? Is it unrated; did hikaru helped or what?

most probably hikaru would have helped pokimane ,there is no other way she can defeat botez !

?? how she loses like games with 400 blitz players with like less than 20% accuracy, and If I recall correctly she was on hikarus channel taking her FIRST chess lessons, she did not even know what a pin was or something like that

As a comparison, Pogonina is a WGM and she is 2472 and finished 2nd in the women's World Championship 2015.

The also gave QTCinderella a WGM title, not as a show of their strength but as a motivational, feel-good badge. Don't worry about it too much.

Yeah I don't think she is an actual WGM because Xqc used to have GM in his title even though he wasn't a grandmaster. Now that title is gone from his Chess.com account so I doubt Pokimane will keep that title. As for that game with Alexandra, she probably had help from Hikaru because I doubt that a 400 rated player can beat Alexandra  who's rated around 2000

I'm pretty sure it's only an honorary, feel-good title (as she obviously isn't an actual WGM), one that will probably be gone by the time the pogchamps are over. Don't sweat it. (:

Yeah, all titles do that though so that way you can find real titled players. By giving her an honorary (albeit a false one) title, it isn't taking anything away from actual WGMs since everyone is aware Pokimane isn't a WGM.

Streamers get free fake titles

CC credibility has taken a nose dive with the gratuitous title. What is to be trusted when it’s  obvious the Title was handed out as a promotional favor ?

Everybody knows ??? Where is any disclaimer made? Many are easily fooled as witnessed. The sticker is real. Now it’s proposed to artificially award 400 points to the top Daily players to bring their ratings in line with blitz ratings.

Some really weird thinking goin on besides awarding real Titles to favored streamers.

Really, that seems off to just award points based on titles, I know some titled players seem to be in lower ratings on chess.com compared to FIDE ironically; I think they should work their ratings; and it may not be fair if they never use it and if they are so good then they can handily get their ratings up if they are that good.

Is not WGM 2400 elo Min usually so at least IM level? I think they should have the same ratings milestones for male and females for titles. 

When I looked in her profile some days ago, she wasn't titled. I think chess.com gave it, not FIDE.

well, yes and no, Hikaru didn't help her, what hapen was Botez was teaching her and this was during a practice match.
