@OP: I can't find the thread in which someone spammed you. I do not believe such an action warrants an abuse report. The moderators do monitor the forums for spam. I would simply let the moderators take care of the problem, and ignore the irrelevant comment.
Also, I always refuse to click on links that people post to the forums that are not properly explained.
