oh yeah??? my granpa is better than ur grandpa.. peace
Vladimir Kramnik is better than Magnus Carlsen
Speaking of Kramnik's height, hes a giant! He towers over everyone else when you see all the players at the end of a tournament stand together for a picture.
Kramnik is definitely the better player.
He beat Kasparov three times in the World Championship without a single loss.
He is also probably the most knowledgable chess player on the planet.
When it comes to opening theory, no one has Kramnik beat.

That certainly is very impressive. But after all that they're 50% against each other & Magnus is still improving. Hmm.
Edit: Krammit has surely accomplshed more in his life than Magnus but Sauron (or Maggie?) is only 23. Time will tell.

Sooo... then why is it that Magnus is able to achieve a 2881 rating, yet Kramniks highest barely goes ober 2800? -GN

I believe that Krammit said in an interview something along the lines of Carlsen isn't really better than him or Aronian. That might have been just a couple of months ago, not years ago.

It must be remembered that Carlsen is fighting an older version of Kramnik.
While he is still strong, he was in his peak in the late 90's.

Can someone tell me how much is 6-5 in meters? Why the hell can't you use "normal units"? ;)
To answer the question, Kramnik would probably be one of the toughest opponents against Carlsen in WCC match. 50-50 chances.
I'd already rank Carlsen as one of the ten greatest players ever, the margin with which he has been #1 lately is just incredible for these days, close to 75 points at the moment. Kramnik would be somewhere around #15 on my greatest ever list. He at best shared first on the rating list, and it is many years since he won a game against Carlsen.
This is the truth and anyone who disagrees is wrong
