This is already achievable using standard software e.g. e-Speaking. (I can recommend watching the demo video Talking to your Computer : Video 2).
Did you know you can also move pieces on a computer chessboard using thought? I didn't think so.

With technology nowadays, almost everything is possible; nevertheless, any machine for that purpose cannot exactly replicate the human mind.
Dear all,
You can look how to play chess with voice in my web www.chesswithvoice.com. I explain how to do it. You can play against Fritz, Arena and by Internet. You can see some videos (available also in YouTube).

We're receiving great feedback lately for our voice-activated Chessboard skill for Alexa:
https://www.amazon.com/Verto-Lab-Chessboard/dp/B0796D24JQ
It have been improved much since most reviews on Amazon's page were written.
What can Chessboard do?
Move Pawn to E4
Move A5 to D4
Has web display at https://chessboard.vertolab.com/ and support Echo Show and the Alexa App (mobile)
I am developing something similar here
https://www.tryit.in/audiochess/
It is about 40% functional and needed some feedback to understand how it is performing.
Long term goal is to make it work for disabled/impaired people.
Check out the brief help doc on how to use it.
Currently it allows you to play with a simple engine, but can be easily integrated with any egnine like stockfish in future.
Hope someone finds it useful.
Thanks!

is there any chess game that can be played on computers with a voice command interface?
if this exists, then chess can be played to a new style and will be more exciting...
just imagine handicaps specially those who lost their arms playing chess just by saying what piece they want to move...its an optimistic idea to wonder...
