Gathering material for my recent blog about Sonja Graf, [and this one] I've found some photos that would pity not to share [just to be found more easily for the record....].

Left to right, seated: Frau Dr. Eppenheim, Frl. Harum, Frl. Gerger, Frau Vranovits. Standing: Frau Gülich, Frau Über, Frl. Jarno. In (Neue) Wiener Schachzeitung 1935 p. 347

The next three are found all together in Algemeen Handelsblad of 18-04-1936, one down of the other as a column....

....with this subtitle:

Probably editor's daughter had just become a mother, and some questioning about life is somehow expressedgrin.pnggrin.pnggrin.png

The next three are from an article about Hastings 1937/38 in De Telegraaf of 30-12-1937....

(Gedeeltelijk gecorrigeerg)."

.

From these three Agnes Crum, third photo, is the most renowned. You can find some info in https://www.chessscotland.com/documents/history/biographies/crum_missam.htm.

E. N. Goodacre, 2nd photo, is found playing in Yarmouth 1935 [found in http://www.keverelchess.com/harold-vincent-mallison-1897-1980/]

Nothing is found for E. Abraham.

Wow! Just my kind of stuffgrin.png Yep, the picture is Elaine Saunders - have it in a book somewhere. Wiener Schachzeitung is a great research area, and, like Potter's magazines, is online - lucky for guys like us !

Take care. Simaginfan.

Yo mate. The truly wonderful William Norwood Potter. City of London Chess Magazine, and for a time, The Westminster Papers. There are links on www.chessarch.com.  At work so can't post them. Sorry. If you look aty posts on De Vere and Whisker, you will find some examples there. Warning!! Reading his magazines can take over your life😂 . Hope that helps. Cheers, Simaginfan.

I know the magazines, the name didn't come up... and the link [really useful sometimes]. Thank you!!
