An Extremely Cool Variant on Chess.com 2.0!

If no progress can be made because there are too many stumps blockading the board, the game will automatically be a draw.
Um.. What does this mean, exactly?

I can't reveal everything yet, but it depends on whether the pieces have crossed the stumps are not and how many pieces have been captured in the last 50 moves

How you get all this information?

In this variant, whenever a pawn is captured, its head falls off and it becomes a stumped pawn. Nothing can be on the square the stump is on for the remainder of the game, but knights can still jump over it! In case you're wondering, once a pawn is captured, the piece is allowed to stay on the stump for 5 moves before it must move. If no progress can be made because there are too many stumps blockading the board, the game will automatically be a draw.
Here's a position I set up so you can see the stumped pawns. Although they can't move, they can be an important defensive piece and keep the game more interesting!
