Traditional chess is difficult enough! Please don`t make it harder and more difficult!
Australian chess

this is really cool!
i would consider it as a new variant!
also @neveragrandmaster48, this is kind of the point of variants

I like it! I have invented a variant too, and you learn that you really have to test this thoroughly, including different opening setups and playing systems. There can be hidden tricks to quickly win the game, and you have to find them before someone else does and your variant gets buried six feet down under.
I have a different idea for the kangaroo: he can jump 2 squares for as many time as he likes, and only in orthogonal directions. But: the landing square must be vacant, and any piece he hops over is taken. He can ruin pawn pyramids that way. It's similar to checkers (but the capturing happens perpendicularly).
But: the roo can also never go back the same way, so he has to stop on a vacant square. As soon as he lands on an occupied square he is taken from the board.
And let's make one rook the koala rook: he can move infinite squares vertically and only one horizontally. And the other rook is the platypus rook: it can move infinite squares horizontally, and only one vertically.
Then we have king tasmanian devil: unpredictable as he is, he moves like a regular king, but if he touches an enemy piece he can move the same way as that piece for the next move.
thanks to @evert823 for inspiring this idea. I have serious trouble making variants but here is an idea if anyone wants to help make real that would be great @evert823 gave the example of "Australian chess" In another thread and even came up with a piece in this I will not be using the piece but will be using the idea.
NEW PIECES
kangaroo this piece will take the place of the knight. It will be able to travel 3 squares in any direction he is the special thing it can jump over 2 pieces in a row.
Boomerang this piece will be able to go any number of squares but then comes half way back for it takes the place of the bishop. for example it moves say 4 pieces captures a piece then it comes back two squares from the capture spot. It can only go even numbers.
Please add your suggestions for rules or pieces.
