There's a variant like that that you can play in chess.com called "capture anything" already invented. Still, nice that you thought it on your own

Theres also a Version where when you take an enemy piece, you absorb the movement style of the piece you took.

I already thought about this and have been practicing it for fun with an extra set of pieces, I didn't know it already existed. How is it called? In my version, if a pawn captures another piece, it becomes that piece. For example: I am playing with white; if my pawn captures an enemy's rook, it becomes a white rook. So I can play with four rooks for instance. Pawns are frightening in this version.
