Chess 12

I was wondering about the strength of the pawn formation.

I invented Chess 12.

Chess 12 is based on the fact that when the value of one of the players' pieces drops to 12 points, the pieces start beating backwards.

I don't count the king's worth.

This leaves the knight, rook, and bishop on the board. Or two towers.

Or a queen and a knight.

Can chess theorists tell me if this makes sense?

So pawns can both move and capture backwards after this point?

So if you're white and a pawn is on the 2nd rank at the time, can they promote?

In that case, I could imagine tactics coming up where you force a piece trade then immediately promote your pawn.

Pawns can only capture backwards.
Of course, pawns can promote.
