Crazyhouse and Bughouse strategies? (plus mini-rant)

I'm a total noob to Crazyhouse and Bughouse, and whenever I try to play Bughouse, I just get hard flamed by my team mate for not knowing what I'm doing.

I can't help if I'm a beginner, okay? If I wanted toxicity, I would play League of Legends.

I can't figure out for the life of me what I'm going wrong other than the words "king safety!" which were yelled at me every five seconds.

How do you play these variants (before I lose my mind and swear it off forever)?

There are a lot of tips, but the most important are to keep an eye on your teammate's board and to maintain communication with them. Even if you're terrible, a good teammate can carry the team for you.

It's worth noting the opposite as well. Even if you're really good, a bad teammate and poor communication can be very detrimental.

you deserve to get flamed in bug for a few reasons.  1.  if you don't listen.  2.  you f k up but don't admit it.  3.  you're a general dk about everything.

I rarely talk. They're just flaming me for being noob, and I don't know when or where I fked up because I don't know theory or any of the terminology. I just want to learn the game.

Why dont you contribute something useful instead of being insulting?

Always defend f2/f7

When you castle kingside defend h2/h7 pawn

The main idea is to keep your pieces active

I am not a big fan of Bughouse Chess but I do like Crazyhouse Chess.

And what I have noticed, is that there is an awful lack of materials( print books, elctronic books, dedicated software, dedicated websites etc) about Chess variants.

I hope it will be addressed somehow.
