The rules of the game is the same with the regular chess except with these changes.
Dimension:
There are 3 Dimensions in Dimension Chess. These are Heaven, Earth and Hell. Each Dimension have their own rules.
Turn:
In your turn, you will choose to play in one of the 3 Dimension.
Earth:
If a white piece captures an opponent piece, the capturing piece remains while the captured piece lands to either Heaven or Hell. If the captured piece is stronger than the capturing piece, it lands to Hell. Otherwise, it lands to Heaven.
If a black piece captures an opponent piece, the capturing piece remains while the captured piece lands to either Heaven or Hell. If the captured piece is stronger than the capturing piece, it lands to Heaven. Otherwise, it lands to Hell.
If there is a piece existing in the place the captured piece will be landing, the captured piece is removed from play.
Heaven:
If a white piece captures an opponent piece, the capturing piece goes to Earth while the captured piece is removed from the play. If there is a piece existing in the place the capturing piece will be landing, the capturing piece replace that piece and the piece replaced is removed from play.
If a black piece captures an opponent piece, the capturing piece remains while the captured piece goes to Hell. If there is a piece existing in the place the captured piece will be landing, the captured piece is removed from play.
Hell:
If a black piece captures an opponent piece, the capturing piece goes to Earth while the captured piece is removed from the play. If there is a piece existing in the place the capturing piece will be landing, the capturing piece replace that piece and the piece replaced is removed from play.
If a white piece captures an opponent piece, the capturing piece remains while the captured piece goes to Heaven. If there is a piece existing in the place the captured piece will be landing, the captured piece is removed from play.
Possess:
If a white piece in Earth is aligned to a black piece in Hell, the white piece cannot move.
If a black piece in Earth is aligned to a white piece in Heaven, the black piece cannot move.
Bless:
If a white piece in Earth is aligned to a white piece in Heaven, the white piece in Earth cannot be captured.
If a black piece in Earth is aligned to a black piece in Hell, the black piece in Earth cannot be captured.
Ego:
If a piece is both blessed and possessed at the same time, it is treated as a normal piece.
Kings:
If a king captured an opponent’s piece, it remains in Earth but the captured piece is removed from play.
If a king is aligned to an opponent’s piece in either or both Heaven and Hell, those pieces changes to the color of the king.
Yes it is fun... I tried to play a bunch of grandmaster's games in the boards and the game became more complex as they approach end of the game... Anyone can do counter play by making a move on the other dimensions (Heaven and Hell) during endgames...
