Echo chess

This is not a new variant idea, but my proposal for a new name for another variant called Gothic chess.

Information about Gothic chess tends to pop up just everywhere, without much care for the relevance to the context where it is posted.
So in case you had missed it, you can read more here and here and here and here and here.

My point here is that I don't understand what's so Gothic about Gothic chess. Is there any relation with 'gothic' rock or culture? Did chess with fairy pieces exist when the Goths themselves lived? Obviously not.

"Echo chess" sounds like just the right name for this variant. So I want to contribute to this variant by proposing this new name. I sincerely hope that it is appreciated.
I wish everybody a happy 2022 full of echo chess!

I also discovered a video about echo chess. Just to make absolutely sure that nobody misses it, here's a link:

But why is Gothic chess actually called Gothic? Since it was originally a commercial idea, the name was intended to increase demand.

There is an inaccuracy in my post that I should point out. Recently I was reading about the Middle Ages. And according to this author, the very notion of 'Goths' as one distinguishable people, has resulted from a mixture of misunderstandings, and myths and legends misrepresented as supposedly reliable historical sources.

It is very amusing to read but sadly I can't find any mentioning of an English translation.

But coming back to the undisputed Best Chess Variant of all times. I don't want to ruin anyone's fun. I just wish that we would find a better name for it.
