Fog-of-war: new bug report.

Sort:

First of all, thanks to the developers for fixing the bug when you can see your opponents last move.

Second, I want to report another bug. When your piece is taken, you can see what was took it for a flash of a second. For example in my recent game: https://www.chess.com/variants/fog-of-war/game/53894834/9/1 where I played White, I can see that the Black Knight that took my pawn at move 5, just a split second before it covered by fog. And I'm not supposed to see this.

You can reproduce this bug by replaying back and forward arrows.

I confirm that this happens in real games. Certain moves and movements of chessmens are visible a fraction of a second before the fog hides them.

I also confirm that. And you can flash it for a second again, with arrow keys, browsing back and forth through moves.

I noticed that too. I don't want to use this bug, but I have to. Because otherwise my opponent can do it.

This is a link to my game https://www.chess.com/variants/fog-of-war/game/54238031/23/3 . And on move 12, I saw for a split second that it was the queen that took my pawn.

that happens to me too

There is another similar bug: Sometimes the animation can tell you what captured your piece. For example suppose White has pawn on e4, and Black has pawns on d5 and f5. If Black captures e4 pawns (dxe4 or fxe4), then White does not suppose to know what move Black played: dxe4 or fxe4. This was the case before the last change. However now White can see the animated move from d5 or f5.

when the opponent have capture, the animation shows

Sadly, this bug is still persistent.
I used to play this variant last year (I think mostly spring - mid summer) and then i stopped. I have never came across this bug back then.
But now i returned for a few games and this is occuring in every game. I think i'll submit a new topic with some videos i captured.
Win10 & Firefox btw.

Move 13 - knight to d4 - i shouldn't be able to see it, but using my left arrow, i can.
