i think that maybe it has something to do with your rating in comparison to their rating. if youre an exceptionally high rated fow player and lose to a dude rated 1300 then your rating is gonna go down a lot more. the inverse is also true. in my games against what are essentially GMs in fog i only lose 2.5 elo points or so.

How is the + and minus for winning and losing in Fog of War figured? It's not the same "total change adds up to 16" of the conventional, and close ratings seem to cause large swings at times, too.
