Also if you try to play it in the browser it is very laggy and if you are hunting for achievements in the app then you won't even get it although you played it on the browser using your account

I can't speak to the difficulty but the audience for a variants only app is probably pretty small. Also, screen size will still be an issue for many variants.
Go on help and scroll down to chess varients, tap on that and it will come up with lots of varients. Tap on a random one and press go to varient. It takes a long time but you can still go on varients using the mobile app

That may work but may not work well. That uses an embedded browser and at that point you're better off using the browser directly.
It’s kind of irrelevant to have the app if you can’t do things that you can do on the web.

There are sections in the app that load an embedded browser and you can use other parts of the site that way but will likely be buggy and is not supported. It's better to just use a mobile browser.

First go to the More section. Then scroll down to Report Problems. Press on it. Then a search bar will pop up on a white screen. Search up "Va". One of the results will be How do I play variants?. Press on that. Scroll down until you find a list of variants. Click on Full rules and how to play. Scroll down until you find Play blindfold chess. Press on it. It will bring you to the variants. If you want any other variants, click on the arrow on the top left (its gray).
