I guess most of chessvariants lovers know Capablanca Chess, which is not by the way the earliest neither the best of this category of 10x8 or 10x10 with a BN and a RN. I'm not sure what you mean by "should support " and "that it offers". It offers what? I don't understand.

it's played on a 10x8 board and uses two extra pieces per side that can move as a combination of a knight and a bishop and a knight and a rook and Capablanca and Edward Lasker came up with it because I think they thought that accelerating opening knowledge and technique in the future would allow strong players to draw too much or something.
