River chess

I have a variant idea

Normal chess, but the squares a5, b5, c5, d5, f5, g5, h5, a4, b4, c4, df, f4, g4, and h4 are a river, meaning no piece can be on them, but a knight can jump over it. the e row is a brige, helping pieces to get across. to win, you must time out or checkmate.

HorribleTomato

Is this stratego

i wish i could make a variant that has custom pieces but

1. I can't find a diagram to put it on

2. I might make a piece that is exactly like a existing piece
