I haven't tried it out yet. Must be cursed.
Spell chess theory

Really interesting line, I think white might be worse or just equal after 4...cxb5 5. Qxg7 Qf6 6.Qxf6 Nxf6 7.cxb4 Nxe4. but its worth looking into

That's a really spicy trap!
I will contribute a PSA for new players, about a common opening trap. I've lost count of how many games I've won like this.
EDIT: the PGN diagram doesn't seem to be working, so I'll just paste the notation.
1. h5-h7 .. h10-h8
2. freeze@f11&Bi4-e8 .. Nj11-i9
3. Qg4-k8 .. Ni9xQk8
4. jump@g10&Be8xKh11#
FYI you can navigate to an analysis board for Spell Chess with:
Play -> 4 Player & Variants -> Spell Chess -> Edit Position -> Analysis

Just tricked my opponent with the opening trap: https://www.chess.com/variants/spell-chess/game/54052665/0/3

Instead of Freeze@e8&Rf8, black can respond with Freeze@e8&d5! though

Play 1. e3/e6 and follow up with c6/c3.
If they play Qf3/Qf6, Block the queens vision on f2/f7 as it is a a straight up mating threat.

1. e4 e5
2. F@c8Bb5
In this position, there are only a couple of moves that don't lose immediately. You must freeze the bishop on b5 and play g6. If you fail to do so, here comes
2.... F@b4a6?? [trying to win the bishop]
3. Qh5! [with double threats of J@d7Bxe8# and J@f7Qxe8#] Ke7 [bongcloud is forced]
4. Qxe5+ J@d7Be6 [forced]
5. J@e6Qxe7#
I haven't yet analyzed the alternative line 2. ... Ke7, immediately Bongclouding. probably losing for black anyway, although 3. J@d2Bg5+ is not possible due to J@e7Qxg5.

Actually it doesnt lose...
You bassicaly lost a freeze.

"there are only a couple of moves that don't lose immediately" - true IMO.
- Ke7 seems viable, but personally I'd feel very uncomfortable playing the black pieces in this position.
- F@b5 Bb4 seems like the best reply.
- F@b5 Be7 Qh5 Kf8 survives, but I don't see why anyone would want to play it. You can't castle and you're not even up a freeze.
- F@b5 g6 doesn't lose immediately, but it's not clear to me how black survives after Qh5 c6 J@h7 Qxh8. For example, cxb5 Qxg8 Ke7 Qxh7 Ke8 Qh8 Ke7 Qxe5
I don't see any move, besides those 4, that doesn't lose instantly to Qh5. And the only 2 I'd take seriously are F@b5 Bb4 and Ke7.
After playing a few spell chess games, i notice that some theory is developing. You can put all your games with traps and nuances in spell chess here. The game I played featured a hard-to see trap: https://www.chess.com/variants/spell-chess/game/53945542/9/1
