A lot of people told me to play 960 chess to improve the tactical skills but How is the way to play this if is any? What I should do? playing just for tactical punches and try to win the game fast? or try to make the game close to regular chess to improve the position with pawn structure and other strategical points? is any good to play this or I just be focus on regular chess until I improve my game? Any suggestions?

I think i improves strategical skills since there are situation unknown in the opening and midgame so you have to think a lot since the first move.

study the endgame first....it will improve calculation.Don't even touch openings....it's a waste of time below master level(960 isn't necessary....but if you like it then play it)

In addition, the time that you spend turning counts on your clock, so you have to go for a balance between spinning quickly to save time, but not too quickly, or you'll get dizzy. That's what makes chess 960 such a complicated game.

First Chess960 has many variations so in some cases white has an advantage. So look for weak squares to attack or control. Defend them if need as your opponent might mirror your tactic due to position.

Develop a knight and King safety just you play in Non Chess960 games. The board can open up quickly so a chance of it being very tactical the entire game. Forks may be more of a possibility. Castling can be more difficult as you may have more pieces to move before doing so in a game.

Oh try to control the center but it may not be needed in Chess960 if you can distrubt your opponents chance to do so which is better here in chess960. In this case you can directly attack the wing the is located. It really is endless. Situations can arise where you do not need some of the opening rules. Sometimes the Queen really starts off in a bad position so your forced to use other pieces to attack until you can create a line for the Queen to have mobility. Then a target to attack.

Never assume to win a chess960 game fast or you may lose fast. Find weak squares near the king and build up an attack. Any piece poorly defended, find a way to attack it as this will lead to a win.

Why? By then the clock will run out and lose on time. After being here for hours our brains can not firgure out CCW have to talk about all coordinates with respect to the board.
