Yeah......... just running your king isn't the smartest strategy. After you've played enough games, you start to realize that the best strategy is to play regularly and punish your opponent if he runs his king. If he doesn't then wait for a good opportunity to run yours.

Bring your King to the center to win the game.
This variant is quite unique and makes for very intense games. It retains all standard chess rules with the addition of one simple rule. You can play it in normal games, casual or rated, and in tournaments.
Rules
- All the Laws of FIDE chess apply. In particular, a move is legal if and only if it would have been legal in FIDE chess.
- If you make a legal move that moves your King to one of the center squares (d4, d5, e4, e5) you win.
Clarifications
The winning move has to be legal, e.g. you can not move into check. Checkmating your opponent is another legal way to win.
