White starts with a King on e1. 4 pawns on c2, d2, e2 and f2 Black a normal set up.
White starts the game. White is intitled to 2 moves to a single move by Black.
This variant shows the power of the move. It takes a very skilled player to win as Black. I think Black should win. But after 1. d4 and e4 as Whites 1st move, Black is put to the test.
THE only rule change is White can capture the Black King (checkmate) if he is on the move by advancing 2 squares (with a pawn or King) and captures the King. Difficult for Black to mate when the White King has two moves. Hence he is a "Monster"
THIS was popular back in the day. Still played now?
It seems nobody has heard of this variant. Died long ago. Too bad. To mate the White monster (King) was very instructive. With two moves to be had, there is only one thematic solution.
