Sounds interesting. What do they mean?
Also, what are the rules of the pieces?
ALSO also, you should make the Bishop piece the "Pornstar"... =)
Thoughts on point 3?

I think it would help if you used different kinds of shot glasses for the different pieces. Then you could use something clear for white and something dark for black. With the different kinds of glasses you would be able to differentiate between the pieces at a glance. The problem i have when playing shot glass chess is that all the pieces look the same and its hard for me to see the big picture.
Knights were pornstars for the last variant, though that might get switched. The rules of the pieces are that whoever loses a piece has to drink as soon as it is taken off the board. At the end of the game the loser drinks all his remaining pieces to drown his sorrows, and the winner drinks all his in order to celebrate his victory. In a draw both players drink their remaining pieces in order to make the next game more interesting.
That is a good point DR. It gets pretty confusing, and difficult to see the colours
In a sense yeah. We've been unimaginitavely calling it drunk chess. I wanted to throw mini martinis into the mix, but the vodka was gone, and I don't like gin
It would be a good idea for @LonleyDad or someone to hit up the local antique store or fleamarket to find some unique looking shotglasses. I might try that myself this weekend.#drunkchess #weekend

I don't know if this constitutes the conventional definition of chess variant. Ultimately, what you are doing is playing regular FIDE chess and adding an extra non-chess component to create a new image of playing it. In the end, however, you're still playing chess: the rules are the same, the pieces move the same, the goals of checkmate are the same.
I think this thread might belong more in the off-topic or general discussions thread. =P
I just bought a shot glass chess set, and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for the setup.
Played the first game on the weekend, and set up as follows
Pawns : Bazooka Joe
Rook : Crispy Crunch
Knight : Pornstar
Bishop : Bottlecap
Queen : Sambuca
King : Crown Royal (Naturally)
Anyone have any suggestions?
