where do you play variants on chess.com

Most of us play by starting a thread and posting boards using custom graphics. You have to use some graphical software like MS Paint.
You can go to the (bulldog club here) for templates with boards and pieces to start with, or you can invent your own.

Yeah, that's right.
Another possibility is www.jocly.com
I often play there and there are about 4 dozen chess variants that you can play with drag and drop.

Think of this as "slow play" with a lot of thought for each move (3 days allowed). Updating the graphic (the board) is necessary for each move.
But there's no chess engines - just human thinking. Since it's slow play, with lots of time to study moves, games should be high-quality. But there's still blunders.😕😕😕

This is a direct link to one of my games. Can you see it? If not, could it be the browser? I use Firefox. And for the settings/options in Jocly I would definitely choose 2D Classic and not 3D!

Lichess hosts eight variants (https://lichess.org/variant) with ratings and tournaments.
Hello thanks for the help everyone. Natelo35 you said that lichées has 8 variants however were do you play them? Because it does not give a link or anything to play them.
You can change variants by going into the live chess tab on the chess.com website. Then there should be a drop down menu with a board on it. Select what variant you want. Make sure to check out my profile and blog!
