WHY CANT I CASTLE????

I checked all the requirements to perform a castle but it still wont let me castle(to the left side of the board, cuz right would be check)... This is so frustrating... Any help would be apreciated, thanks. (I am White)

I was able to rewind and castle on the previous move, so the issue is not that castle is impposible, just impossible in this situation... Thanks for the help in advance

See the Black rook on d8? It's attacking d1. During castling, your king is not allowed to TRAVEL through check either. So your king would go through check. Sorry!

Black's rook on d8 controls the d1 square.  You can't castle over or through check, so you can't castle q-side (left) in this position, and to castle k-side (right) you would land in check, so you can't castle to either side in this position.
