discussion groups

for a long time, topics that revolved around or deviated into political or religious discussion have been censored by staff and rerouted to the open discussion group. this was a fallback position that staff adhered to. 

i'm here to tell you that not all groups are created equal. the so-called open discussion group isn't so open if you vehemently disagree with another that might believe in conspiracy theories. 

there are a lot of these groups where people should be able to write whatever they want. it's not so. 

People who believe in conspiracy theories exploit openness. While reasonable people often quiet down when they’ve been shown to be wrong, the conspiracy nuts increase their volume.

I may not be up to date but I thought that whole purpose of having these members only clubs was to allow people to chat over whatever they felt like ? If any of the snowflakes to not like a specific club then they do not have to stay in that particular club.
