How do you get people to join your club?

Probably the best way to get members is go to the list of clubs, click on any club then click on its members roster and then select players that suit your fancy. Look at characteristics such as if their accounts are active, what their rating is, how many clubs they are already in etc. Depending on the criteria you use you might be able to get one out of ten invitations accepted. As an admin or Super Admin, I think you have special access to members on this site. I'm not sure of this; however, I generally receive at least 1 request a week to join someone's club. How do they know how to contact me?
I am a member of one club with over 5,000 members and another club that has just 133 members. Clearly there is a way to recruit new members - I just don't know what it is.
I turn down all of the requests to join new clubs, and have even dropped a few, as I find the ones I'm in now are enough.
Good luck with your recruiting . . .
[Edit, perhaps post #3 answered the question I posed above.]

hmmm i wish you success in your efforts , i know a team who love playing against romes finest , give me a shout when you have a good muster

have fun , there are many historical themed teams at cc , and they tend to always like playing similar teams
Kenny, have you joined the Caro-Kann vote Chess groups? Either we will learn from you or visa versa.
Then what's a good name?
How about "GM_Kenny_Ji`s Caro-Kann Group"? Set it up for vote Chess and I will join. Being that you are young and have to learn some social mores, I suggest that you answer public or private questions. If you do not do this, many folks will not want to get involved with your Chess articles. I mean this as positive advice.

Maybe people are confused. The Praetorian Guard were not a military unit like the legion posted in the picture at the site. They were the personal bodyguard of the emperor's family. Instead of the metaphorical attack and defense that resonate with chess players. Instead, such a named group would appeal to people who like the intrigue of palace politics.

there have been and still are a few roman legion themed teams some got very big like the 13th legion , so i dont think there is too much of a problem with a team called praetorian guards as its obv there are a fair few at cc who love to be roman legionnaires ,
at the Picts we hunt these teams out so we can battle against them these tend to be fun matches as not only do you get to play chess but also express the things you like too in history , and there is no harm in that
I'm trying to find ideas for people to join my club, the PRAETORIAN GUARD. I wonder how some chess clubs get alot of members. https://www.chess.com/club/praetorian-guard
