Agree 100%. Chien does a great job of organizing and running these tournaments. He also does this on his own time and at his own expense. If any of you out there would like to contribute a small amount of money to offset his expense, every bit helps, he can be contacted @fhunfi.
Active club to practice classical slow time control 90m+30s/45m+45s/60m+30s in Swiss tourney

I recommend this club.
It provides an opportunity to play at long time controls in a semi-regulated setting.
It is run very well by fhunfi.
Some effort is needed to agree on a playing time yet nearly always the games are being scheduled and played.
I recommend this club.
No way to practise standard time control games without Chien and his club!
The best place to play. Chien is the best organizer! Thx Chien!
If you want to be in a slow chess tournament that is both serious and fun, then this club is for you! Winners are encouraged to be humble, and those that lose, graceful. What happens is some serious games between some nice people. What I like most about the slow tournaments is you don't have to travel a long way or spend a lot of money to participate like you often do in many OTB tournaments. Also, your opponents are usually friendly and are good sports. For me, this Classical chess club is like a gift. So, try it, you might really like it.
