Nice, I've recruited about five, although four of them were by word of mouth.

I did not play a greeting game when I joined.Neither did many of the members.But the site is succesful anyway.
400,000 members in 18 months is really something to be proud of, and it will just keep growing.
Meeting people, making friends, developing our skills, and all with people from all around the world, word travels fast!

In the old days I went to a corospondence chess site and tried a few moves. Then someone told me about it again, and I went back and tried it again and really started liking it. Bought a membership and everything. However I let that membership cancel when I started at the greatest chess site on the internet. I'm sure many will come back. Also, I think that is why welcoming people is so important/helpful. Maybe if I had had someone that would have shown me the works at that other site they might have got more money out of me.
